About my Love Affair with the Artists of www.creativemarket.com
I discovered Creative Market last year and found that my life changed.
There (at www.creativemarket.com) I discovered brilliant artists and designers selling their wares.
I loved the fact that this digital platform not only existed but contained easily affordable mock-ups, layouts, fonts and artwork. Better yet, that they could be downloaded onto my computer at 11 pm while sitting in my pjs, drinking herbal tea. I “browsed” through the artwork and graphics for hours.
Because of www.CreativeMarket.com I was moved to “improve” my professional look. Hence this new website and the “designer” template created by Gillian Sarah, a young artist from Scotland. So my blog features these artists that have become part of my life (even though they live on the other side of the world).
In this premier blog, I also introduce Tobias Saul (whose Brilon font is used in the website headers) as well as artwork from Lisima and graphic design layouts from Studio Loire and Eviory. Studio Loire’s layout formed the basis of my e-guidebook, The Six Steps to Better Creativity. Thank you all for enriching my life.

Branding is a deep dive into who you are. It is a visible reflection of the inner you to the outer world via your words and voice, colours, images, fonts.
Explore www.creativemarket.com to see what inspires you. Take your time. There are many choices. What font style are you? Elegant, serif, sans serif? Make notes, e.g., “I love this font or this layout.”
Before purchasing ensure that your skill set matches the product, e.g., some require knowledge of Photoshop. Are you proficient enough with this software?
Set a plan and keep it simple – it is easy to get overwhelmed. Start with a small branding project. i.e., What should my Facebook header look like?
